Portraits

I am proud of these pieces as it represents a synthesis of the chemigram process and traditional classical drawing. To make these I first made a drawing of each of the portraits. One was from a photograph of a statue and the others are from the 19th century drawing course by Charles Bargue. Next, the drawings were transferred to photographic paper and regions filled in with a UV-sensitive polymer resist. After the resist was cured the paper was developed with liquid, powdered and/or crystallised reducing agents. Fixation was done with liquid fixer.
